Has anyone else had problems with ATK rebuilt longblocks? I put my longblock in and started it up only to discover an oil leak from under the timing belt covers. Looked like possibly a cam seal so I changed all 4. Still a leak. I traced it down to a faulty intake cam gear (could see the trail of oil). After calling ATK and telling them what I did and what was wrong they made me put dye in the oil and run it again. Still a leak (what a surprize) Then they wanted me to put thread locker on the intake cam bolt. That is when I just said screw them and got a used cam gear from Z1. Installed it and guess what, no leak! But now I have a VERY noisy lifter. Is it possible the lifter will quiet itself after runing for awhile? Sorry for the long post.
